As Autumn rolls in, Turriff In Bloom are reflecting on another successful season.

The group, formerly known as Turriff Town Pride Group, have received great praise for their efforts this year which have seen colourful displays brightening the town for residents and visitors alike.

A spokesperson for the group said: “We would like to thank all of the following: Boys’ Brigade, Guides, Brownies, Turriff Young Farmers, pupils of Turriff Academy, Highland Industrial Supplies, Turriff and District Men’s Shed, Turriff Fuels, Harbro, Turriff Printers, Turriff Show, LM Autos Turriff, Stewart Taylor builder and all the shops and businesses in the town for a very successful year.

“We thank you all for your physical and financial help.”

The group are now looking ahead to next year, and are keen to welcome more bodies.

Volunteers are needed to help with planting, general upkeep and especially to join the rota to water the plants.

This may be a suitable opportunity for any young people working on awards with a volunteering element, such as the Duke Of Edinburgh Award.

Anybody interested can speak to any of the current volunteers or reach out to the Turriff In Bloom Facebook page.
