Amey cancels weekend A96 closure near Huntly

Due to operational issues, the full weekend road closure planned to take place from 6.30pm on Friday March 8 and 6.30am on Monday 11in order to carry out surfacing improvements, has been cancelled.

Daytime temporary traffic lights will still be in place between 9.15am and 3.30pm till Friday afternoon in order to carry out drainage works.

The project, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, is addressing defects on more than 700 metres of the A96 road surface near the village of Cairnie.
