The heritable property was sold by auction firm Allsop in November of 2023 as a single storey property comprising of a kitchen, staff area and observation room with potential for redevelopment.

Now plans have been submitted by architects Mantell Ritchie to Aberdeenshire Council on behalf of Stuart Paterson of Dallas, Texas to add a moderate extension to the rear of the property. This retains its character and would see a revamp of the exterior of the building which would in turn have two bedrooms made out of the staff area and a slightly larger shower room on the single storey property.
