'Amazed and delighted' Huntly ceilidh organisers' £3125 Air Ambulance boost

THREE local ladies' "absolutely brilliant" charity ceilidh raised a four figure sum for air ambulance heroes.

Yvonne Swarbrigg, Patricia Barron and Linda Morrison threw the shindig in April, at The Stewart's Hall in Huntly.

The event, soundtracked by north east band Broma, generated £3125 for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).

On a trip to SCAA's Aberdeen base, the trio handing over the cheque to Claire Allan, an SCAA paramedic well-known in Huntly and the inspiration for the ceilidh.

Ms Barron said the trio were "absolutely amazed and delighted" at the total raised.

Linda Morrison added: "The band were amazing and kept the crowd going all night."
