Torrential rain which is continuing to affect areas to the west of Aberdeen this evening has lead to flooding in and around the Alford area.

Drivers are advised that the B922 Keig to Premnay road (Brindie Hill) has seen a landslide on the road after the summit on the Keig side and with continued flooding is not passable to traffic at present (Sunday 8pm). Roads between Mossat and Kildrummy have also seen heavy flooding.

Earlier today SEPA issued a flood warning covering the north-east including Aberdeenshire and Moray.

UPDATE: Monday 11,30am - The B922 remains closed to traffic on the Keig to Premnay section while work is carried out to asses the damage caused to the road and diversions are in place for local residents.
