The rally organised by Garioch Women for Change, as part of the nationwide independence effort to show the reaction to the Supreme Court judgment takes place at 5.30pm.

Mr Alex Salmond said:“Scotland’s future must be in Scotland’s hands.

"Regardless of the outcome of the Supreme Court, to regain our independence we must bring the people with us in Scotland and end the mentality that goes cap in hand for London’s permission to regain our freedom.

“Enough is enough.

"It is time to deliver independence.”

At the main rally in Edinburgh, SNP MP Tommy Sheppard and Alba MP Neale Hanvey will speak while a rally will also be held in Aberdeen at St Nicholas Square at 5.30pm.
