Aldi Scotland has become the first retailer to stock a popular Aberdeen brewery’s pumpkin spiced ale.

Fierce Beer has worked with Aldi since 2016 and has recently developed its Pumpkin Spiced Ale which is packed with autumnal flavours, including ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

The beer, which is being exclusively stocked for the first time as part of Aldi’s twenty eighth Scottish Beer Festival, joins 23 other craft beers from a fellow eight Scottish craft breweries in deals worth over £77,000.

The in-store campaign launched on Thursday (October 13), with prices starting from just £1.49.

Known for celebrating the vast range of beers, lagers, and ales brewed across all corners of Scotland, this winter’s festival will give customers the chance to try everything from raspberry sours to citrus IPAs and traditional lagers to rich stouts.

Amongst the beers on offer are Fierce brewery's pumpkin spice pale ale.

As part of the in-store festival, Fierce Beer’s May Contain Brambles Porter, Heffen Heff Bavarian Hefeweizen, and Maple Pancake Pale Ale, will also be stocked on Aldi’s shelves across Scotland, giving customers the chance to try specialty beers from one of Scotland’s most experimental brewers at affordable Aldi prices.

Group buying director for Aldi Scotland Graham Nicolson said: “The craft beer industry continues to go from strength to strength in Scotland, and I am proud that the relationships we have built with local breweries mean that our customers can enjoy a variety of unique brews from across the country.

“I am especially pleased that a lot of this festival’s beers are exclusive to Aldi Scotland, meaning our customers have the chance to try a wide selection of new brews they may never have tasted.

“The beers in this year’s Winter Beer Festival show that, thanks to our unique business model, Aldi customers can enjoy top quality beers at affordable prices.”

Aldi guarantees some of the most competitive pricing on Scottish food and drink, while still retaining the highest quality in its products.

Additionally, Aldi Scotland scooped the Scottish Sourcing Award from the Scottish Food And Drink Excellence Awards earlier this month further reinforcing its commitment to retailing and working with Scottish producers.
