Santa handed out selection boxes donated by Tesco Huntly and Asda Huntly and books from GRA.

Cheryl from Life is Peachy Photography took pictures which families had the option to buy, with a percentage of the fee going to GRA.

There was a charge of £2 per child, which GRA say the kept low so that it was accessible to as many people as possible.

Chief officer for GRA, Emma Selway-Grant, said: "On the Friday we provided an Additional Support Needs session for families and the school. For these sessions the children were given more time in the experience so they could take things at their own pace.

"We also had more muted lighting to create a calmer atmosphere. This was very successful with 19 children attending. We had really positive feedback from these sessions with one mum saying, 'your grotto experience was amazing. What a lovely experience for the children! Thank you'."

Gordon Primary school also brought 14 children from their CRH who all met Santa and enjoyed the experience.

GRA staff all entered into the spirit dressing up and wearing festive jumpers.
