The results of the 2017 election in the ward were as follows -
Conservative - Colin Clark (incumbent) 1732
SNP - Neil Baillie 1085
Independent - Judy Whyte 982
Liberal Democrats -Marion Ewenson 568 951.1 958.69 965.63
SNP - Bryan Stuart (incumbent) 245 261.41 360.1 362.9
Labour - Sarah Flavell 206 265.42 269.77 271.69
Valid: 4818 Spoilt: 48 Quota: 964 Turnout: 4866 (43.3 per cent)
But shortly after a by-election was held after Colin Clark stood down.

Lesley Berry (Scottish Conservative and Unionist) - 1672
Scott Bremner (Scottish Liberal Democrats) - 295
Sarah Flavell (Scottish Labour Party) - 276
Elaine Mitchell (Scottish National Party) - 1146
Craig Stewart (Scottish Green Party) - 56
After the application of STV rules, Lesley Berry was elected at the fourth stage
She would shortly thereafter resign from the Conservative party to remain on the council as an aligned independent.
The turnout in Ward 11 was 30.9 per cent
For Ward 11: Inverurie and District (Four elected) with an electorate of 12,091 for the 2022 election with three out of the four incumbent councillors standing again, and the stepping down of the incumbent aligned independent councillor , the SNP are making a bid to gain a seat in the ward, where they have not had two councillors since 2017.
