Aberdeenshire Council updates on next week's school strike action

Aberdeenshire Council has provided an update on next week's school strike action.

A local authority spokesman said: "You may have seen that both Unite and the GMB unions have suspended next week’s strike action.

"This does NOT affect the planned Unison strike action affecting schools within Aberdeenshire Council’s control.

"This means that Unison members will still be taking action on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (September 26, 27 and 28) of next week.

"As such, the communication from your child’s school, as to whether it will be open, closed or partially closed, remains the same.

In an update on Monday afternoon, Aberdeenshire Council has now confirmed which schools will be closed.
