Celebrating the very best of Scotland’s craft beer scene, Lidl’s Isle of Ale festival returns this month and champions delicious beers from two popular Aberdeenshire breweries.

Featured in the line-up is the super hoppy and refreshing Belgian IPA Hopclassic (6.6 percent ABV) from Six Degrees North and the totally tropical yet totally alcohol-free IPA Punk AF (0.0 percent ABV) from BrewDog.

Zoom Time - produced by Loch Lomond Brewing - is a must-try 4.5 percent New England IPA that’s bursting with lively citrus, juicy peach and and fresh pineapple flavour designed for brightening up those beer o’clock video calls during lockdown.

Launching into stores from October 22, this month’s festival also includes an autumnal theme with darker, sweeter styles of beer that are ideal for toasting the longer, chillier evenings - open fire optional.

Not forgetting those longing to cling onto the final notes of summer, the hoppy and fruity Double New England IPA Luminous Nights (7.4 percent ABV) crafted by Dundee’s 71 Brewing is set to provide a tropical burst.

This new edition is Lidl’s first dip into the growing trend for Double New England IPAs and is a reimagination of their bestselling Luminous Lights New England IPA.

Lidl’s head of Scottish buying Paul McQuade said: "Lidl continues to forge partnerships with the best breweries across Scotland to create collections of innovative and exclusive craft beers for our ever popular Isle of Ale in-store promotions.

"Our latest line-up features an excellent range of darker, seasonal styles that are great for autumn as well as fruity, hop-forward IPAs that offer customers choice, quality and value.”
