The main A947 road remains closed north-bound at Fyvie and south-bound at Towie after a crash involving a lorry.

Police were called around 8.15am on this morning following the report of a lorry crashing into a house and another vehicle on the A947 road near Fyvie.

Emergency services are still in attendance dealing with the incident as the lorry's load is being removed before recovery can take place.

Work is also being undertaken to stabilise the vehicle and the building which was damaged in the incident.

The road is currently closed in both directions and is expected to remain so until later this evening.
