8 events to entertain you in Aberdeenshire this weekend

Its another busy weekend in the north-east with Modelfest Scotland and the Cullen Skink World Championships taking place.

TURRIFF- Turriff United will host their coffee morning at the Legion on Saturday, March 16 from 10am - noon. Adults £3, children £1 with stalls, raffle and face painting.

INVERURIE - Come and Sing with Inverurie Choral Society at the Acorn Centre on Saturday 16 from 10am - 5pm with an informal performance at 4pm. Entry by donation and for more information visit inveruriechoral.co.uk.

HUNTLY - Strathbogie Fiddlers annaul rally takes place at the Gordon Schools Hall on Saturday 16 at 7pm. Tickets £12 with guests Moira Stewart, Barbara Anderson and Colin Dempster. Tickets from 07713 978158 at Raeburns or Rizzas.

INVERURIE - Modelfest Scotland returns to the Thainstone Exchange on Sunday 17. Open from 10am-4pm, come and see a variety of trucks, cars, trains, planes and crane models from Exhibitors from across Scotland. Entry is £7 per adult and children under 12 go free with all money raised going to MacMillan Cancer Support.

TULLYNESSLE - Tullynessle School and Nursery coffee morning takes place on Saturday 16 from 10am-12pm at the school. Adults £2, children £1 (includes a cup of tea/coffee/juice and a fine piece) lucky dip, home bakes, raffle, bottle stall and more.

TURRIFF - Turriff Group SWI bulb show takes place at the Baden Powell Centre, Turriff on Saturday 16 from 2pm for presentation of the trophies. Entry £3 with refreshments, raffles and a bottle stall.

HUNTLY - Gordon Rural Action Family Day takes place at The Linden Centre, Huntly on Saturday 16 from 10am-2pm. Free Entertainment Soft play Bookbug Craft with TOADS, Wee Toots, free refreshments and lots of stalls incuding Baby Bank, Uniform Exchange, ASDitude, Marie Curie, Full colour coaching, Lantem, Turning Point, Deveron Projects, The Bikery, Assistance dogs, Home Start Garioch, plus more!.

NEW PITSLIGO - 1st New Pitsligo Boys Brigade coffee morning takes place at the Public Hall from 9.30am. Bring your friends and enjoy a fine cuppa and catch up.

And over in CULLEN the Cullen Skink World Championships return on Sunday 17.
