69-year-old arrested and charge following heroin recovery in Fraserburgh

A 69-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the recovery of heroin and cash from a property in Fraserburgh.

An intelligence-led drugs search warrant was executed at a property in the Mid Street area of the town on Thursday, January, 25

Heroin with an estimated street value of over £1000, along with a high four-figure sum of cash, was recovered from the property.

The 69-year-old man is expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court at a later date.

Sergeant Geoff Catto, from Fraserburgh Police Station, said: “Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities and we will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from the community.
