As schools across the north-east get set for a return next week, there’s still lots going on in Aberdeenshire.

NEW DEER - Sunday, April 14, 2pm - Opening of the Green at New Deer Bowling Club (weather permitting) for the outdoor season.

FRASERBURGH - Saturday 13, 8pm Dalrymple Hall - Elvis is back! Don't miss the ultimate Elvis Tribute Experience! Welcome to a night of rock 'n' roll nostalgia like no other in a dazzling celebration of the King himself, Elvis Presley. Step into a world where the spirit of Elvis is alive and well, brought to life by mesmerizing tribute artists who captures every nuance of the legendary icon.

ALFORD - Sunday 14 - Spring Autojumble at the the Transport Museum. One of Scotland’s largest and longest-established autojumbles offers a chance to find that spring restoration project or that elusive part in the idyllic surroundings of the museum's arena from 9am - 3pm.

INVERURIE - Inverurie Brew Fest returns on Saturday 13 at the Town Hall from 4pm to 10pm with music, food and beer/cider on tap along with cocktails and spirits from a wide range of suppliers.

CRATHES - Sunday 14 at 2.30pm Crathes Village Hall - The Sand Dragon (age 4+) While on holiday Edie and her Daddy find a magical pebble on the beach that can grant you one wish. Can you guess what Edie wished for? Well why not find out by watching Theatrix Arts perform this magical story with songs and music, loads of puppets, changing scenery, and a magic trick or two. Then meet the puppets and create your very own Sand Dragon Puppet. The performance and workshop is suitable for Families and Children aged 4 + There is an optional puppet-making workshop after the event in Crathes. There is a small charge of £1 per child for the workshop, payable on the day (limit of one puppet per child).Ticket Information - Adults £8 Under 18s and Students £7 Family (2 adults, 2 children) £28.
