12 fun events to entertain you in Aberdeenshire this weekend

While it's a busy time for many communities holding Christmas Lights Switch-on events, elsewhere there's lots going on this weekend.

A Victorian Christmas returns to Delgatie Castle

GARLOGIE - Traditional Music and Song Association of Scotland's annual St Andrew’s afternoon ceilidh takes place in Garlogie village hall on Sunday, November 26 from 2pm to 5pm. All singers and players attending will be invited to take the stage for a couple of numbers. Admission is £6 for listeners and £3 for performers (children free) and tea will be provided but attendees should bring their own food and refreshments.

TURRIFF - Royal British Legion Women's Section Christmas Bazaar, Saturday 25 at Turriff Legion, 10am - noon.

Adults £3, children £1, including raffles, homebakes, tombola and lucky squares.

INVERURIE - Friends of St Andrew's Christmas Fair, Sunday 26 from 10am-2pm. Over 20 stall holders, fab raffle prizes, adults bottle stall, face painting, kids crafts, outdoor food vendors and a chance to meet the Big Red Man himself from 11am-1pm - all to raise funds for St Andrew’s School. Adult entry is £2 and children are free.

LOGIE DURNO - Logie Durno Village Hall and Community Christmas Fair, Saturday 25, 11am -2pm. Come join in the festive atmosphere, celebrate talents of our pupils, browse through local crafters stalls, enjoy wonderful food and drinks win a great price in raffles.

TURRIFF - Netherdale House, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26, 11am -3pm Christmas is coming to Netherdale and Santa making a special visit to see all the boys and girls. A weekend of fantastic shopping celebrating the best of local crafters, giftware and homeware. Please bring cash as not all stall holders have card readers.

MACDUFF - Doodle Bugs Macduff presents Festive Flycup on Saturday 25,10am - 2pm at Macduff Bowling Club. Fly cup under 2's free, children £2, adults £3.50.

HATTON (PETERHEAD) Getready for Advent and Christmas in Cruden Parish Church Hall, Saturday 25 from 10am to 11.45am. Lots of things to do including crafts, games, Lego plus friendship and nice things to eat and drink. Admission Free and everybody welcome.

KEMNAY - Quiz Night on Saturday 25 at Kemnay Bowling Club, 7pm for 7.30pm start, £5 per person maximum of 6 per teamn raffle on the night bring your own nibbles. Booking essential and tickets can be purchased by callin 01467 643574 or 07890 428596.

UDNY GREEN - Frost Fair takes place on Saturday 25 at Udny Green village hall, 11am-3pm. Local handmade crafts, fundraising cafe, live music.foodbankfood bank drop off, axel's cafe, raffle, udny panto tickets in support of ronald mcdonald house glasgow, free entry.

TURRIFF - A Victorian Christmas returns to Delgatie Castle on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26, Saturday, December 2 and Sunday 3, and Saturday 9 and Sunday 10. This is the original, biggest and the best Christmas event in the area. Enjoy an authentic Victorian atmosphere in the wonderfully decorated castle with the staff dressed in Victorian costume. You will find crafters in the rooms as you explore the castle.

AUCHTERLESS - Auchterless School Christmas Fayre will be held on Sunday 26,10am till 2pm. Stalls - Enjo, Tropic, bodyshop, Little curious minds bookshop, Luxe scents, Funky Fungi and various other craft stalls. Raffles Refreshments - Adults £3, under 12s £1.

PITMEDDEN - The Medan Centre, Saturday 25, 1pm- 4.30pm - RecyclAbility The Medan Centre Threads and Yarns / Udny Community Shelf Tombola Homemade Items Formartine Youth Project - Friends of Pitmedden School Glitter Tattoos and Face Glitter! Udny Green School Choir Christmas Carol Singing and more! Santa arrives at 2pm.

NEXT WEEK -

BANFF - Banff Primary Parent Council hold a Jingle & Mingle Christmas Fayre on Wednesday 29 from 6pm-9pm. Story with Santa, refreshments, local crafters, food vendors and more at Banff Primary School. All money raised will go towards supporting the teachers and pupils of Banff Primary

Story with Santa time slots start at 6.15pm and Tickets will be £5 per child and accompanying adult. will be given on a first come first serve basis.
