A number of fun events are taking place in Aberdeenshire this weekend to entertain all ages as the summer break continues.

NEW DEER - 175th New Deer Show Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16.

TURRIFF - Turrif Bowling Club come and try session, Saturday, July 15, 2pm-4pm. All ages and abilities welcomed.

HUNTLY - Grampian Pride at Huntly, Stewart's Hall, Huntly, Saturday, July 15, 1pm-5pm www.grampianpride.org - free tickets available online.

INSCH - Insch Vintage Vehicle Parade leaves from Insch Hospital Field at 1.30pm on Sunday, July 16. Free entry with hot food from 11am, raffle at 4pm, with proceeds to Friends of Insch Hospital.

BODDAM - Brickmania returns on Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16, 10am-4.30pm at the Buchan Braes Hotel, Boddam. Tickets on the door or via www.ticketsource.co.uk/tartanlug

PORTSOY - Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party on Saturday, July 15, 10am-12pm at Portsoy Church Centre. Stalls attending include Fiona @ Portsoy Beach Crafts, Lynne Bevilacqua jams and chutneys and Sally’s self care products (Body Shop).

TURRIFF - Delgatie Castle Craft Fair, Sunday, July 16, 10am-4pm. Dog treats, Memory Bears, diamond craft, cards, jewellery, felting and much more.

FORDYCE - Open Village Day, Sunday, July 16, midday-5pm. Fordyce extends an invitation to visitors to walk round and explore the village. It will feature plant sales, craft stalls, demonstrations, the community woodland and refreshments.

WHITEHILLS - Whitehills Gala, Saturday, July 15, from 1pm. Attractions will include pipe band, barbecue, wheel of fortune, magician, bottle stall, fun run, live music, beer tent, ice cream and Bouncy Mania.

INVERURIE - Fashion Through the Ages exhibition, Garioch Heritage Centre, opens Saturday, July 15. The Garioch Heritage Society invite people to travel through time to view its wonderful costume collection which offers snapshots of bygone eras, past and almost present.
