There's lots to see and do this weekend in Aberdeenshire, with good weather predicted as summer gets underway.

Aberdeen - Inverurie Concert band and Inverurie Concert Band Youth Section are set to perform on Sunday, June 4 at The Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Aberdeen International school at 7pm. Tickets £5 on the door.

Inverurie - Inverurie Charities Shop fashion show takes place at the town hall on Friday, June 2 at 7pm. Tickets £5 from GCS or via Facebook.

Turriff - Friends of Turriff Boating Pond Coffee morning on Saturday, June 3 from 10am -noon at the Legion - adults £3, children free.

Inverkeithney - Inverkeithney Kirk Preservation Trust - concert at the Kirk with the Ythan Singers at 7pm. Pre-concert meal at 5pm at the Kastile via Emma Cowie on 01888 511133.

Cornhill - Cornhill Highland Games, Saturday, June 3, 10am entry on the day (cash only) includes the 51st Knock Hill 10k race which starts 11am (age 16+) licensed bar from noon - 9pm and music from 4pm.

Balmedie - Car Wash on Saturday June 3 at the library car park in aid of the Scouts trip to Lochgilphead. from 9am - 12.30pm.

Methlick - Fundraiser for Methlick Badminton Club on Saturday June 3 - for pre quiz meals at the Ythanview contact 01651 806235.

Newburgh - Race night at Newburgh-on-Ythan Golf Club on Saturday, June 3 at 7pm. Tickets £5 include free bet and stovies or macncheese.

A fill programme of racing, with extra bonus for owners.

Inverurie - Thainstone Country Music Festival runs from Friday June 2 to Saturday 3. Tickets are live at https://thainstoneevents.co.uk/events

Huntly - NETPC tractor pull - Gates open:Friday at 5pm, pulling at 6pm; Saturday at 3pm, pulling at 4pm - Adults £12, children go free.
