10 events to entertain you this weekend in Aberdeenshire

There’s lots going on again this weekend across the north-east with a wide variety of events taking place.

INVERURIE - The Inverurie Music concert season concludes with the sixth performance of the year on Saturday, May 25 at the Acorn Centre and will be given by acclaimed baritone Robert Rice and pianist William Vann. The concert will be at 8pm (doors at 7.30pm) in the intimate surroundings of the Acorn Centre. The programme for the concert features works by Finzi, Gibbs, Howells and Britten as well as contemporary composers such as Robert Walker and Charlotte Marlow. An evening of beautiful music will include settings of works by Walter de la Mare and William Shakespeare. Tickets for the concert are £13 for general admission and are free for under 25s in full-time education and for those receiving disability or low-income benefits. You can obtain tickets in advance on Eventbrite and at the Novello giftshop, Inverurie. Tickets will also be available at the door.

ROTHIENORMAN - Dickie Cup Final 6.30pm Kintore AFC vs Monymusk AFC. The Greenview Centre (Bowling Club) will be open until 10.30pm with a licensed bar.

TURRIFF - Turriff Community Council will hold a coffee morning at the Legion on Saturday 18 from 10am - noon. Adults £3 Children £1.

KEMNAY - Kemnay Primary School Primary fair in the school playground from 11am - 2pm. £2 adult £1 child including lots of activities including hook a duck and bouncy castle. Remember to bring lots of £1 and 50p coins !

NEW PITSLIGO - New Pitsligo Visual Arts Festival display is open Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 at the Hall and St Johns daily from 10am - 5pm.

KINTORE - Kintore Bowling Club come and try family day takes place on Saturday 18 from 1pm - 4pm (please wear flat footwear).

BA STORES - Charity Tractor Road Run on Saturday 18 from BA Stores Broomhill site in memory of Andy Souter. Leaves at 9.30am, For details contact Vicky Ligertwood on 07766 783752.

FYVIE - The Legion iin Fyvie host a fun evening with music bingo on Saturday 18 from 7.30pm Bring your own snack. Text or call Caris 07825 132072 to book or pay at the door.

OLDMELDRUM - Saturday Night Dancing with Steven Carcary on Saturday 18 at the Legion, 8.45pm start £8 entry.

INSCH - The Bennachie Leisure Centre hosts the Spring Food Fayre with over 60 stallholders attending on Saturday 18 from 10am - 3pm with free entry.

AND IF YOUR IN ABERDEEN THIS EVENING - Fyvie FC take on Stonehaven Athletic FC at Cove Rangers Balmoral Stadium on Friday 17 with a 7pm Kick Off, thier first cup final since joining the amateurs and they would massively appreciate your support on Friday night, Adults £4 and Children/ Concessions £1.
