10 events to entertain the family in Aberdeenshire this weekend

It’s a busy holiday weekend in Aberdeenshire, with lots of events to entertain the family from a car boot sales to beach based adventures.

ALFORD - Saturday, April 6, 10am -noon, Heritage Museum Car Boot Sale. Free entry and spaces at £10 each booked via the Heritage Museum. website.

TURRIFF - Saturday 6, St Andrew’s Parish Church Coffee Morning at the church hall 10am - noon. Adults £3 Children £1 and Women’s RBL Coffee Morning at the Legion, 10am - noon. Adults £3 Children £1.

INSCH - Sunday 7, 2pm-4pm, Insch Connections Museum at the train station reopens for 2024 with the exhibition 'The Castle of Dunnydure'.

NEW DEER - Saturday 6, Soup and Sweet in aid of Friends of Anchor, 11.30am - 2pm in the upstairs hall at New Deer Hall. Adults £5, U12s £3.

FYVIE - Saturday 6, Daffodil coffee morning and garage sale from 10am-11.30am at Glebe House, Fyvie. £4 entry includes refreshments, U10s free.

BOGNIE ARMS - Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 general table top sale at the Bognie Arms (near Forgue) 10am-3pm.

FORDYCE - Sunday 7, Car boot sale outside the Fordyce Hall 9am - 1pm, with refreshments and bacon rolls available.

CORNHILL - Saturday 6, Car boot sale at the Hay Memorial Hall 10am - noon.

ALFORD - Sunday 7 at the Grampian Transport Museum - Perk and Ride. By popular demand the inaugural Perk and Ride lets visitors park up in the museum's arena, have a coffee (and maybe a hot roll?), and meet other vehicle enthusiasts. Admission to Perk and Ride is FREE, but donations at checkout are gratefully received. Pre-booking offers discounted entry to the museum on the day. Entry to the arena is from 10am - 12.30pm as it winds up around 1pm. The museum's coffee van will be serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, with hot rolls and fine pieces available.

FRASERBURGH - Saturday 6, 10am - 11.30am Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society will be holding a Buttery Morning, at Fraserburgh Leisure Centre, Adults - £4 Children £2.
