Polling day in Moray election

VOTERS in Moray have until 10pm tonight to cast their vote in the General Election.

There was a steady flow of people heading to their local polling stations in Buckie and across Moray today.

The Moray count will take place in Elgin Town Hall, with a result expected around 3am on Friday.

Across the UK, pre-election polls were predicing a tight result between the Conservative and Labour parties, with the SNP predicted to do well north of the border.

The candidates in Moray are Angus Robertson (SNP), Douglas Ross (Conservatives), Sean Morton (Labour), James Mackessack-Leitch (Greens), Rob Scorer (UKIP) and Jamie Paterson (Liberal Democrats).
