Line-up for Keith Partners and Employers Marketplace unveiled

TAKING that vital step to a new job – and the support that is available to get there – is at the heart of a forthcoming community event in Keith.

The Department for Work and Pensions have organised a Keith Partners and Employers Marketplace for Tuesday, February 28.

Alongside a mix of local employers advertising vacancies will be a range of partner organisations who can offer support and guidance on a range of topics.

Employers who have confirmed their attendance so far are: Chivas; Be-Personnel for Associated Seafoods; Walkers Shortbread; Moray Council Social Care; Moray Council Catering Department (covers schools); Moray Council DLO (housing maintenance).

Partners already signed up: Action for Children (run AB56 early learning and childcare courses, support young people and parents); Enable Works (delivers an employability service which helps people with barriers to obtain employment or access further education or training); Moray Firth Credit Union (community bank who can offer savings accounts and low costs loans); Moray Pathways (a support service for individuals of all ages to point you in the right direction to find opportunities for education, training or support); RFEA (The Forces Employment Charity provides life-long, life-changing support, job opportunities, and training to service leavers, veterans, reservists and their families, regardless of circumstances, rank, length of service, or reason for leaving); Social Security Scotland; Keith Loft Youth Project (a one stop shop for young people of Keith to provide them with a safe, secure setting where young people can access a range of activities to meet their needs); Voiceability (free, independent support to involve you in decisions about your health, care and wellbeing); Moray Council Adult and Family Learning (can support adults aged 16+ with literacies, SQA accreditation and the driving theory).

Both of these lists are subject to change.

The event is due to be held in the Longmore Hall, running from 2pm to 3pm.
