A 33-YEAR-OLD man has been charged and is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court in connection with three incidents in Keith.

The first incident occurred on Land Street on February 20.

The other two took place on Mid Street on February 22 and 23.

The first was an attempted break in, the second an intent to steal and the third was a theft by housebreaking where jewellery and electrical items worth a low four figure sum were taken.

Investigating Officer PC Mark Bayliss thanked the public for their response to the crimes.

He said: "We received a good response and assistance from members of the Keith community which enabled officers to act quickly.

"Dealing with break-ins is one of our priorities but we need the public to remain vigilant and inform us when they see anything suspicious happening."
