FOUR teenage boys - two aged 13, the others aged 14 and 15 - have been charged in connection with an incident of alleged fire-raising within a derelict building at The Square, Newmill, on Thursday January 5, 2017.
They will be reported to the youth justice management unit.
Detective Inspector Norman Stevenson said: "I would like to thank the local community for their assistance and information provided in connection with this inquiry. Thankfully no-one was injured."
The building had been an eyesore in the village for many years and community efforts to find a resolution to its state were moving forward prior to the fire.
It is not clear yet what will happen to the fire-ravaged building.
