Driver named as Angela Spalding (44)

THE woman who died on a collision on the A96 has been named as Angela Spalding (44), from the Keith area.

The collision happened at around 4.15pm on Friday, March, near Lower Drakemyers, North Bogbain, Keith.

A red Audi TT and a black Vauxhall Astra were involved in the collision.

Angela Spalding was the driver of the red Audi TT. A teenage female passenger in the car was uninjured.

The 35-year-old female driver of the black Vauxhall Astra was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin as a precaution.

Sergeant David Pirie from the Road Policing Unit said: "Our thoughts at this difficult time are with the family and friends of those who have lost their loved one in yesterday’s collision.

"The road was closed to allow for an investigation to take place and I would like to thank the public for their patience while we conducted the necessary enquiries. Our investigation is ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who saw the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the collision to contact us."
