A Moray Council works van left the road just outside Aultmore and collided with trees.

Firefighters freed the manbefore he was transferred by ambulance staff into the waiting air ambulance, which had landed on the road nearby.

The collision took place just after 3pm on Thursday and it took firefighters nearly three hours to release the driver.

The road was closed for several hours while a crash investigation took place and re-opened after 8pm.
