Kate has always harboured an ambition to own and run her own visitor centre tearoom.

That will happen on February 3 when she opens the tearoom and gift shop near Keith.

Kate has taken over the former grain store previously owned by Dawn Ravenhill and Richard Sanders, which they ran as the Thirteen Moons animal sanctuary and tearoom for eight years.

She said: "It has always been my dream to have my own tearoom so I am really excited and looking forward to the opening."

Kate’s brother Matthew and Charmian Oliver will be the chefs, with Steph Strachan as head waitress.

The focus will be on developing the tearoom and gift shop as a real tourist attraction.

She has been in talks with Drummuir 21 community enterprise about getting the Mill of Towie added to the Isla Way official walk and there is also talk of a new platform possibly being added to the Keith-Dufftown heritage railway at Mill of Towie.
