Dorothy Jack’s on Mid Street has received a warm welcome back to the town after an absence of four years.

Mrs Jack revealed that customer demand was pivotal to the decision to re-open a store in Keith, adding to existing branches in Peterhead and Elgin.

She said: "I have had thousands of emails from lots of customers in Aberdeenshire and elsewhere asking if I would come back to Keith." The Keith store closed four years ago when Mrs Jack took the business decision to open a new outlet in the St Giles Centre in Elgin.

While that store continues to do well, she admitted the overwhelming demand for a Keith outlet to serve customers from Aberdeenshire and further east prompted the return to the town.

""We are delighted to be back in a beautifully refurbished premises and the move can only be good for our business and the town. I am sure my mum would be proud of the business now."

The revamped outlet has re-opened in the same Mid Street premises it was in four years ago, however, the shop has undergone a significant refurbishment and has a bright new look, and has full disabled access.

While the business has established a reputation over the years for offering unique designer outfits for mature ladies, Dorothy Jack’s three stores cater for women of all ages. The business employs 11 members of staff across the three shops.

Mrs Jack, who has lived in Keith for 45 years, is excited to have a presence in the town again and hopes the "significant investment" in the business will be supported by people locally.
