Over 40 workers from Chivas Bros got the tools out for a day’s hard work at the St Rufus Park in Keith.

It was part of parent company Pernod Ricard’s global ResponsibAll day of supporting local community projects.

The nearby Strathisla Distillery, home of Chivas Regal, was the base for the day as employees from across the company’s Speyside operations descended on the park.

The St Rufus Park Regeneration Group has a longer term £100,000 vision for the community park.

The efforts of Chivas’ employees in repairing the perimeter fence, fixing and painting benches, painting the public toilets and weeding and clearing all the paths have given the project a real boost.

For more pictures and full story from the event see the Banffshire Herald print version next Friday.
