Body found by search team

SEARCHERS looking for two missing Speyside pensioners have discovered a body.

As part of efforts to trace missing persons Kathleen Edward (85), from Aberlour, and Rosemary Laing (77) from Rothes, Police have confirmed that a body has been found near to the Bridge of Sourden.

The body is still to be formally identified, but the families of both Kathleen Edward and Rosemary Laing has been made aware.

A widescale search has been carried out in the last few days after both women were reported missing.

Local police officers were being assisted by police dog handlers and the coastguard.
