A96 roadshow comes to Keith

THE major project to dual the entire A96 from Inverness to Aberdeen will come under scrutiny at an exhibition in Keith.

The Scottish Government has given a commitment to dual the trunk road by 2030.

The results of preliminary engineering and strategic environmental assessments will be put under the spotlight at a series of public exhibitions by Transport Scotland, the government’s transport wing.

Transport Scotland officials will be on hand to answer questions about the scheme at the Longmore Hall in Keith on Tuesdya, May 19 from 12noon to 7pm.

The exhibition will kick off in Elgin Library on May 11. It will also visit Forres Town Hall (May 12), Gordon Arms Hotel, Huntly (May 13), Fochabers Public Institute (May 18), Leys Hotel, Blackburn (May 20) and Kintore Arms Hotel, Inverurie (May 21). All the exhibitions are from 12noon to 7pm.
