Inverurie's Kellands School and Nursery has been encouraging families to donate to the Aberdeenshire North Foodbank in the town this year instead of giving gifts to teachers and staff.

Commenting, early years lead practitioner at Kellands School Nursery, Ashleigh MacKay said: “The amount of donations has been brilliant with the Kellands community pulling together to give to others at this special time of the year, we thank you all very much.”

The pupils of the nursery have also been making Christmas cards to handout with the food parcels and have had regular visits to the foodbank to see what happens with the food donations.
