Fix-It Cafe holds successful event

Fix-It cafe, a venture run by Inverurie and District Men's Shed was busy with people bringing in their ailing products to Fly Cup Catering in Inverurie at its latest event.

A food mixer, sewing machine, chair and a leaf blower were among the broken items awaiting the attention of the handymen Men's Shedders.

Some pieces, like the leaf blowing tool were more of a challenge, which the DIYers clearly enjoying the challenges presented to them to tackle.

The Fix-It cafe has a session every six weeks, encouraging people to bring along their problem pieces rather than just throwing them away.

Their motto is the 3 Rs, repair, reuse, recycle and the service is free, but donations are welcome.
