A HAPPY band of 14 students attended their Foyer Reach graduation ceremony at Inverurie Learning Centre.

Reach, which stands for: Recovery, Employability, Achievement, Challenge and Hope follows a 12-week programme.

Students begin with getting to know you weeks, followed by workshops in personal development skills, budgeting, planning, health and wellbeing and activities to broaden confidence.

Workshops also focus on goal-setting for the future.

At this stage, students will have the opportunity to gain Food and Hygiene and First Aid qualifications.

Finally, they undertake various community challenges using the new skills that they have learned during the course.

The event was also a sad farewell to Foyer Reach development coach and team manager, Clare Farquharson, who is leaving for Edinburgh where she is taking up an appointment with Children First as family group decision-making co-ordinator

Development coach Nadine Ryrie will be starting a team at the end of January.
