While Buffalo barbecue chicken wings may not always prove to be the most elegant of dishes to eat, they have topped the list of choices for customers at an Inverurie restaurant.

The delicious starter has proved the stand-out choice for customers as owner Bill Bird explained: "We are currently running out pre-panto menu at Fennel which has combined the best of locally sourced seasonal ingredients along with some of our most popular dishes from our regular menu.

"While customers vary in their main course choices, such as fish, turkey and rib-eye steak, by far and away the most popular choice is chicken wings, perhaps they are taking their inspiration from Peter Pan himself which is running at the Town Hall."

Fennel's pre-panto menu runs until December 23 and offers two and three course options with bookings via 01467 670065.

Inverurie panto - Peter Pan continues at the Town Hall, Inverurie until Chirstmas Eve with tickets from 01467 207000 and http://www.inveruriepanto.com/booking/.
