Big Sing hits the right note in Inverurie

The Big Sing was a roaring success as it was hosted for the second year in Inverurie.

This event that showcases talented choirs wowed crowd that gather to get into the festive mood in front of the Inverurie Town Hall.

Primary schools including Fintray and Keithhall took part in the show.

There were solo performances from Nick Innes and Millie Chapman.

Joining in, the crowd made up of all ages sang along with the participants.

This event once again attracted a good turnout as people prepared for Christmas.

Inverurie BID manager Derek Ritchie hailed the event as a “success” as it draws nearer to Christmas Day.

He said: “The Big Sing was a success again this year with a good number of primary schools and local adult choirs making up a combined choir of over 200.

“The weather was reasonable with just some light drizzle on the day.”

A charity collection held by Inverurie Events raised an impressive £500 for youth mental health charity SAMH.
