As part of the celebrations to bid a fond farewell to Inverurie Academy's current building, which is being replaced by a new community campus in spring next year, the school's newly commissioned tartan is now in production as pupils and staff get ready for the goodbyes.

The tartan, which is in the academy's colours of blue, grey and yellow is being specially woven for the celebration events that will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

It aims to show the creativity of the pupils and to celebrate the school's history and will be used in the production of a number of commemorative items.
