A WORKING group has been set up to take forward a plan for a sensory garden in Huntly.

It is hoped that by next summer the garden will be in full colour, with sights, smells and touch experiences for people with dementia, mental health problems, autism and learning disabilities.

It will be located in the grounds of the Meadows Care Home.

Huntly FC's annual sponsored cycle kick-started the project with a £3000 boost.

Volunteers are needed to help develop the garden. Anyone who wishes to donate plants or get involved should email frogfreak@btinternet.com
