Alison Murray, from Buckie, won the competition to win a turkey hamper with all the trimmings, supplied by the award-winning Huntly butcher.

She said: "I thought it would be a great idea to donate the turkey to the church if I won."

Grampian group editor Chris Saunderson added: "What a fantastic, kind-hearted gesture by Alison."

The Riverside Church in Buckie is hosting a Christmas Day lunch for around 70 people who otherwise might be spending the day on their own or separated from family.
