THE Gordon Schools in Huntly is closed to pupils today due to adverse weather conditions.

Gordon Primary School is open to pupils who can make their way to school as school transport is not operating.

Flooding fears have receded in Huntly where residents of a care home were evacuated for a brief period last night.

SEPA said the River Deveron peaked last night and with improving weather today, the river should continue to go down.
