A SEARCH has been launched for a missing 85-year-old woman.

Officers in Aberlour are appealing for information to trace Kathleen Edward who has been reported missing from the Broomfield Square area.

She was reported missing at around 2.30pm on Tuesday January 26.

She was last spoken to on Monday.

Kathleen is described as being 5ft 3in, of slim build and has light grey short hair. She walks with a slight stoop and uses two walking canes but is believed to have only one with her. It is not known what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance but is possibly wearing red shoes.

Searches are ongoing in the area in a bid to trace Kathleen and local officers are being assisted by police dogs and the Coastguard.

Anyone who has information that could assist with tracing Kathleen Edward is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
