THE CHALLENGE of developing new markets for Rizza’s of Huntly is one which recently appointed sales and development manager Ronnie Routledge is relishing.

After more than 20 years promoting sales of top brands of Scotch whisky, Mr Routledge has switched to the ice cream industry.

His territory extends far across Scotland as he services existing account holders but more vitally develops new accounts getting Rizza’s products onto the menus in restaurants and cafes and into ice cream shops in far flung holiday and caravan parks.

"My aim is to generate more sales for Rizza’s through existing customers and to encourage new customers to get to know and try the brand.

"It is a very diverse business and in addition to the ice cream products for which the Rizza’s name is known, we supply food service products such as frozen breads, cakes and desserts.

"There is a huge client base of over 2,000 and it is my aim to visit all of them to see how we can generate increased sales," said Mr Routledge.
