POLICE in Huntly are appealing for information following an attempted break-in at the VG Superstore in King Street.

The incident is believed to have happened between 5:30pm on Saturday March 5 and 7am on Monday March 7 and a low-two figure sum of damage was caused.

Officers are also appealing for information following a vandalism at the Nordic Ski Centre in Huntly which is believed to have happened between 5pm on Saturday March 5 and 5pm on Sunday March 6.

PC Craig Arnott said: "There is nothing to suggest these two incidents are linked and we are appealing to the community to come forward with information. Anyone who saw anything suspicious around the time of these incidents is asked to contact us on 101."
