Drugs seizure in Huntly and Inverurie: Four to appear in court

A £25,000 drugs seizure in the Huntly and Inverurie areas will see four people appear in court.
They were due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday August 8.
Three men aged 35, 33 and 22 will appear following the recovery of cannabis and cocaine worth more than £25,000 from an address in Inverurie on Friday, August 5. A mid four-figure sum of money was also recovered.
A 31 woman year old woman is also anticipated to appear following the recovery of Class C drugs including diazepam and cannabis worth around £2600 in the Huntly area on the same day. She has also been charged in relation to a racial breach of the peace.
Local area commander in Aberdeenshire South, Chief Inspector Murray Main said: "As we know, illegal drugs can have a devastating impact on individuals but also their families and wider communities through associated criminality and antisocial behaviour.
"Make no mistake, officers across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray will continue working closely with specialist officers, partners and communities themselves, to secure information and target those cruel individuals and groups who profit from the sale or distribution of illegal drugs."
