The popularity of the company’s Specially Selected Shortbread and Oat Biscuit range with Aldi shoppers in Scotland, has led to the range being extended to Aldi stores in England and Wales.

The Specially Selected All Butter Shortbread Assortment is due to hit shelves in over 500 stores south of the border this month and will be available as a Special Buy while stocks last. In addition, Specially Selected Oat Biscuits and Specially Selected Shortbread Rounds will be stocked in Aldi’s Irish stores from May.

Dean’s business has grown from servicing 48 stores in Scotland in 2010 to supplying stores nationwide and in that time sales have increased by over 450%.

Norman Donald, National Account Manager at Dean’s, said: "Dean’s has been supplying Aldi stores in Scotland since 2010 and we’ve seen demand for their products increase year-on-year. Aldi’s range of Specially Selected Shortbread and Oat Biscuits is now bigger than ever and to see our biscuits and shortbread on shelves in England, Wales and Ireland this spring is a significant achievement for the company."

Richard Holloway, Managing Director for Aldi in Scotland, commented: "Dean’s is one of Aldi’s top suppliers and our customers love their products. Under Aldi’s Specially Selected brand, Dean’s products fly off our shelves and we’re thrilled to be stocking the range outside of Scotland in our Special Buys."
