STRACHAN - (Cairnbulg). Robert Stephen, Golf professional (Duff House & Fraserburgh Golf Clubs). It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful death of Bob, at Tor Na Dee Care Home, on Sunday, 9th April, 2023, aged 77 years. Bob was a much-loved partner of Liz and the late Carol, dear father of Claire and Leanne, fond cousin of Ruth, Myrtle and Audrey, a beloved step-dad to Emma and Michael and "grand-Bob" to Alex and Raffy. Bob was a much respected and accomplished golf professional, teacher and good friend to many in the North East and beyond, he will always be remembered for his extensive golf collection and passion for golf in all its forms, he was instrumental in keeping Hickory golf alive, playing with the British Golf Collectors Society until a few years ago. A service of celebration for Bob`s life will take place at Alexander Buchan & Son Funeral Chapel, Denmark Street, Fraserburgh, on Friday, 21st April, at 1.30pm, to which all family and friends are warmly invited, thereafter Bob will be laid to rest with his beloved parents Bobby and Bella, at Cairnbulg Cemetery.
