JOHNSTON - On 24th November, 2023, Peter William Johnston, aged 80 years, variously of Inverness, Banff, Edinburgh, New York, latterly of 18 Fraserburgh Way, Orton Southgate, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, PE2 6SS, leaving this message: "I die (not pass or pass away) with love and pride in my beloved family - my dearest wife Pat, our daughter, Wendy, our son Alasdair, our grandchildren, Dylan, Danielle ( Dani), Alexander (Zander) and Lexie, our great-grandson, Bodhi, and our second great-grandchild-to-be, sad to leave them in an uncertain world, but with hope for their future health and well-being, and the happiest memories and gratitude for their love and inspiration throughout a long, healthy and fulfilling life. I thank friends and colleagues and, in particular, our goddaughter, Hannah, all of whom cared for me and contributed so much to my life, and the outstanding medical and other health professionals and support teams in Leicester and Peterborough, the primary care team from Nene Valley Hodgson Medical Practice, the Macmillan nurses, Sue Ryder's Thorpe Hall Hospice and other carers, who gave me an additional three years of quality life. Please, do not fret for me. The birth of Bodhi, and my great-grandchild-to-be, create new life cycles and a legacy as I leave the planet.
