FORBES (Rettie) James and family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all who attended the celebration of the life of Frances on Thursday, 9th February at Whitehills Parish Church. To see the church filled with those who knew, loved and respected Frances and who wished to support us in our grief was a source of great comfort. Equally, we would like to offer our thanks to all those who have extended their condolences through the cards, messages, calls, floral tributes and many acts of kindness we have received, including your generosity in raising over £1300 in Frances' name for Friends of Chalmers Hospital. Our grateful thanks also go to Alison, Jane, Colin and Charlie of AD Walker, to the minister, Ali MacLeod and the church staff, to Angela Lovie for creating such beautiful floral tributes, and to the staff at Gordon Castle. Frances' life was one well-lived: it was lived with warmth, kindness and generosity, fierce pride in her family and fierce loyalty to her friends and loved ones. As a family, we extend our sympathy to all those touched by her loss and wish you peace. The sorrow weighs heavily on us all, but the gratitude we feel for her endless love and care brings us comfort, as we hope it does to you. As was her mother, Janet, before her, Frances was 'a very, very lovely lady' and they are reunited now at rest at Bellie.
