Ythan Rotary announce ShelterBox sleepover

Ythan Valley Rotary has announced plans for a ShelterBox sleepover in Neil Ross Square, Ellon on Saturday, February 22.

A team of rotary members plan to meet at about 6.30pm at the Square and set up a ShelterBox Tent with a view to sharing the virtues of the tent, how it is used in disasters worldwide and raise enough money to purchase a ShelterBox for use in one of the many emergencies across the world.

The average cost of a ShelterBox is £590 which includes all equipment in a easily transportable box.

ShelterBox teams work with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives.

Ythan Valley Rotary Club is one of Rotary’s newest clubs and meets on the second and fourth Sundays of the month in the Ythanbank Mission Hall.
