The Udny Community Trust and Udny paths group in partnership have launched a new map showcasing some of the walks around the local area.

This comes after the Trust held three days of events for Imagine Udny alongside PAS last year to generate ideas to grow Pitmedden and Udny which were well attended.

Udny Community Trust's development officer Yvonne McLeod said: “A small group of volunteers calling themselves the Udny paths group has made a huge effort to improve the paths and bring neglected walking routes around the area back into use.

“The idea to develop this map came from them and it has been produced in partnership with UCTC.

“We are all very pleased with the result.

She added about what they look to gain from the maps:“We hope that the map will assist visitors and locals alike to get out into the fresh air, discover some great new routes and maybe even to get involved in further path improvement work that is ongoing in the area.”

The map is available electronically or as a paper copy by contacting Udny Community Trust on 01651 843776 or development@udnycommunitytrust.org.uk
